• To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.
• Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
• Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
• Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
• Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
• Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.

To create an innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial culture in the institute

• To provide opportunities for the students, faculty and alumni to bring out their innovative ideas and convert them into products and start-ups.
• To provide necessary facilities to the students, faculty and alumni for incubation, product development and start-ups.
• To provide support for commercialization of innovative products.

• IIC was established at the Institute in the academic year 2018-2019.
• Various activities related to Innovation and Entrepreneurship are being

conducted regularly since its inception.

• The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of P.S.R. Engineering College was awarded a Four-Star Rating by MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) for its commendable performance during the academic year 2023–2024.
• This recognition reflects the institute’s consistent efforts in conducting innovation-driven activities, promoting entrepreneurship, and actively nurturing a vibrant startup ecosystem on campus.

IIC established at the institute comprises of student coordinators and members, faculty coordinators and members representing from all the departments including BME, Biotech, Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, MBA, IT, AIDS and S&H. Also, members are represented from reputed industries. Alumni entrepreneurs from all the departments are invited for the conduct of IIC activities.
